Certifications including 45-hour infant/toddler certification, 90-hour preschool certification and/or 45-hour school-age certification and van driver experience preferred.

About Us: For over 30 years WeeCare Inc./Children's World and Learning Tree Inc. has been providing quality affordable child care in Frederick, Walkersville and Brunswick Maryland to children ages 18 months- 12 years old. We are licensed by the Maryland Department of Education, Office of Child Care and regulated under COMAR 13A.16 and we are a Level 3 Maryland Excels Quality Rated Program. We use pre-made curriculums and teacher ideas to explore themes using activities that promote language/ literacy, mathematical thinking, art/creativity, science/sensory, social/emotional growth, physical development/ health and more. Although we do not offer health insurance, we do offer part-time and full-time schedules, PTO and select paid holidays off. Program staff must undergo criminal background checks, child abuse and neglect clearances, physical examinations and training in child care.
We are looking to hire child care teachers to perform all duties necessary to ensure that children’s basic needs are taken care of. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising children, providing a safe and loving environment that promotes growth and learning, following the regulation book and staff handbook, changing diapers, wiping noses, washing hands, etc., serving meals, completing daily paperwork, creating lesson plans and implementing the curriculum, providing developmentally appropriate materials and domain-based activities appropriate for the developmental levels, abilities and learning styles of all children, giving opportunities to interact with their peers and offer a balance of child-initiated and teacher-directed activities including whole group, small group and individual learning experiences reflecting the interests of the children and cultural background, providing lessons informed by observations, completing observations, developmental checklists and other assessments for all children, using positive behavioral supports and strategies with children that include: providing choices; using redirection, reflection, and problem solving; and giving clear rules and expectations, communicating with parents, sanitizing all toys and play areas, preparing for and attending conferences, staff meetings and trainings and completing evaluations, being attentive and patient, being prepared and punctual, and performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
