UW- La Crosse is seeking a Groundskeeper Lead to join Landscape Services, within the Division of Administration & Finance. Under the general supervision of the Grounds Services Manager, a person in this position is responsible for the maintenance of grounds and landscaping. This position supports the overall grounds keeping operation of the University, and performs a variety of tasks, including the planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials and bulbs, application of herbicides and pesticides, and tree and shrub pruning. This position also performs lead worker duties such as providing training on maintaining grounds, pruning trees, gardening, snow removal, lawn care and for planning, assigning, and reviewing work, monitoring the completion of work assignments, and providing general assistance and guidance to assigned staff. This is a full-time position with expected continuous employment and includes a State of Wisconsin benefits package. The starting wage is $17.00 per hour.
