UW- La Crosse is seeking an Animal Facility Manager to join the College of Science and Health, within the Division of Academic Affairs. Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean for the College of Science and Health, a person in this position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the laboratory animal research facility including record keeping, supply inventories/ordering, budget, and equipment maintenance. Other position duties include training and supervising animal care staff, and ensuring that husbandry tasks are completed in a timely fashion. These tasks include daily animal welfare checks, feeding and watering,  cage cleaning and ensuring animals are maintained in accordance with applicable regulations, which may require checks on weekends and holidays. This is a part-time position, working approximately 20 hours a week, and has a 12-month, annual appointment.
