Clinical Instructor/ Supervising Dentist- Part Time

(Dental Hygiene)

 

SUNY Broome Community College invites applications for qualified candidates to teach as part-time Clinical Instructors, Supervising Dentists, and Classroom/Lab Instructors within the Dental Hygiene Department. 

Clinical Instructors/Supervising Dentists will have the opportunity to teach in the on-campus clinic. Opportunities vary by semester.

The Dental Hygiene department is establishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-time temporary teaching positions. Applications are accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis.


Requirements:

Clinical Instructor Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene or a related field.
  • Active New York State Dental Hygiene License.
  • New York State Dental Hygiene Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Analgesia Certification.
  • Dental Hygiene Clinical experience. Teaching experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification by New York State approved provider.

Supervising Dentist Minimum Requirements:

  • Active New York State Dental license (D.D.S. or D.M.D.).
  • Dental Clinical experience. Teaching experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification by New York State approved provider.

Qualified applicants meet the minimal requirements for Classroom/Lab Instructors.


Additional Information:

The hourly rate for Supervising Dentist is $88.01.

The hourly rate for Clinical Instructor is $37.72.

Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
