Saint Francis University invites applications for the full time position of Director of Purchasing. The Director of Purchasing is directly responsible to the Vice President for Finance for the purchasing of materials, supplies, services, and equipment in a timely and economical manner that meets the needs of the University. This position also provides supervisory responsibilities for Purchasing & Mail Services Coordinator, Print Shop Manager, Storeroom Attendant and the University Bookstore contract.
Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree. Five years of recent experience in purchasing or contract administration preferably at a College or University is desirable. Candidates should have strong interpersonal, customer service and negotiation skills and a demonstrated knowledge of contract management principles, practices, methods and procedures. Supervision, organizational and recordkeeping skills are essential. Certification in purchase management preferred.
