About the Agency: Northwest AEA provides special education and school improvement services to 34 public school districts and 32 accredited, non-public schools. The agency serves 45,000 students and more than 5000 educators in a 10-county area of Northwest Iowa (Lyon, Osceola, Sioux, O'Brien, Plymouth, Cherokee, Woodbury, Ida, Monona, and Crawford).
Our headquarters is located across from the Morningside College campus in Sioux City with regional offices in Cherokee, Denison, Le Mars, Onawa, and Sioux Center.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose/Summary: Provide leadership, support, and professional development and will sustain Northwest AEA and the schools’ use of instructional technology for improved instruction, communication, and student achievement.
Essential Functions:
- Provide leadership to the AEA and LEAs in the area of instructional technology integration and how it impacts student learning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support districts in the use of instructional technology in all curricular areas.
- Work with AEA Educational Consultants and Special Education Strategists to support integration of technology in classrooms.
- Coordinate professional development activities directly related to the integrated use of technology in content areas.
- Communicate with LEA staff about training, equipment, software, curriculum materials, instructional video, and other instructional technology resources.
- Act as AEA liaison to consultants for resource alignment and professional development in the area of technology.
- Provide backup support on an as-needed basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in education
- At least 4 years teaching experience in a K-12 school district
- Experience within the areas of K-12 curriculum and technology
