District Overview
The Homer Central School District is committed to excellence for all students. Our mission is to graduate responsible and productive citizens who embrace life-long learning. We work together as a team of dedicated, effective, and well-supported professionals to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment.
We are proud of the many accomplishments of our students not only in academics and the arts, but also in the wide variety of activities and athletics that are offered. Our graduates go on to attend a wide variety of post-secondary institutions and find success in employment opportunities, both locally and around the country. We are most grateful to the citizens of the greater Homer community for their continued interest in, and support of, our children and the schools.
The rapidly changing work environment demands that we embrace a fresh approach to education, one that takes into account the reality that many doors will open to our graduates if they have been properly prepared. As we plan for the future and prepare our students for the world they will inherit, we will need to enhance our service delivery model in an effort to educate all students.
