As part of the learning design team within Academic Support, this position is responsible for evaluating and improving the accessibility of online course material, contributing to the planning and delivery of instructor development training around accessibility, and supporting college efforts related to Eportfolios and instructional accessibility within the Learning Management System (LMS/Canvas). This role also promotes inter-college communications with faculty and staff, collaborates with all campuses and locations, and supports all faculty including those faculty who primarily teach concurrent enrollment courses at high schools throughout the college’s footprint through the use of CMC’s LMS. View/download job description including hiring salary range: Learning Technology Access & Equity Administrator Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards) Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position. Examples of ideal qualifications may include a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field related to the primary responsibilities of the position and two years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience necessary for the position responsibilities. Examples may include education, education technology, instructional design, or other related fields. Evidence in experience of the primary responsibilities that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to perform the functions of the position are also required, including knowledge of Eportfolios and accessible course design. Teaching/training experience essential as is experience teaching in an online environment. Master’s degree preferred. Experience with ensuring ADA compliance in learning technologies plus documented experience in diversity related programs preferred. Special Skills or abilities directly applicable to the position: Working knowledge of pedagogy, instructional design, educational technology, and LMS administration. Knowledge of instructional design principles and practices such as needs assessments, task analysis, activity design, rapid prototyping, and evaluation, knowledge of course design principles and the planning of the learning experience. Ability to teach, collaborate with, and assist diverse faculty, and exhibit strong verbal, written, presentation, and customer relations skills. Welcoming. Innovative. Focused on Student Success.
