Automotive Technologies Teacher


Beginning 9/2/24 - Questar III BOCES announces a full-time probationary position for a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Automotive Technologies Teacher located at our Robert H. Gibson Technical School in Troy, NY. Utilizing state-of-the art professional tools and computer systems, students learn automotive repair and maintenance skills. This is a two-year program based on the National Automotive Technician Education Foundation (NATEF) model for Maintenance and Light Repair. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified, this program is designed to graduate entry-level technicians with a broad skill set, a solid foundation in electrical/electronics, and a general understanding of all automotive systems.


Candidates with experience in the auto industry are encouraged to apply. Candidates must possess or be willing to pursue a NYS teaching certification through the Transitional Certification process in Vehicle Mechanical Repair. Preferred applicants will have vehicle maintenance experience and experience working with high school age students in an educational setting.
